		<description>Dear John, thank you for your kind comments. I agree with you completely. There is a difference between beliefs and scientific positions that reflect the status of the current data. If someone asks me if I believe that medications are more effective than therapy for the treatment of depression, I would say that what I believe doesn't matter, but that most of the evidence at this time indicates that, on average, medications and therapy are equally effective. That is not my belief, it is just a reflection of the data. It is a position that I take comfortably based on my in depth understanding of the data. 

I deleted the original statement regarding vaccines because, even though the statement reflected my current understanding of the data, it was not directly related to the results being reviewed in that particular blog entry.
