As a search of EBD Blog would reveal, I don’t usually complete memes. Julie Lorenzen of Austism-Blog tagged me with one, though. I’m following through here.
1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open to page 123
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people, and acknowledge who tagged you.
The book nearest me is Cochran-Smith & Zeichner’s Studying Teacher Education and, from the chapter by Karen Zumwalt and Elizabeth Craig (full citation later), here are the requisite sentences (counting the partial sentence at the beginning of the page, and not counting the paragraph heading as a sentence):
Age.Newly prepared teachers are generally older, as compared to previous years. In 1987, the majority of newly prepared teachers were under age 25, but by 1993 the majority was in the 25-29 age group. However, these general trends mask gender differences.
Link to Julie’s sentences.
Whom to tag…sheesh, do I know five other bloggers? Claudia Rinaldi (Bilingual Special Ed), Mrs. Ris (Mentor Matters, who seems to be hibernating recently), Kathleen at Neurodiversity, Dick Dalton (The Life that Chose Me), and (of course) the one who dares Speak of Dreams (Liz Ditz).
