In the early 1990s with support from US federal education grants, Jim Kauffman and I conducted research about the educational placement of students with emotional and behavior disorders. One of the products we developed during that time was a data base of the research and professional literature examining placements. Along with Kerri Frymier and Betty Hallenbeck, we searched for and coded the contents of 170 articles on this topic.
We had hoped to publish the data base in an on-line searchable format but never managed to do so. We did create a paper copy of it, however. The following files are PDF versions of that paper copy of the data base. To read an analysis of this literature, please see the following chapter (note that the citation in the PDF was written before the book appeared; during that time the lead author changed her name).
